Anxiety Support Group

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

If you have never had anxiety panic attacks, you can’t possibly know what it’s like. It stops you cold. It is the most gut wrenching, awful feeling ever. It is sort of like the feeling of awfulness distilled. An anxiety panic attack can make a normally rational person start to perspire, cause their heart to race, And send them running home in a panic. It can be so crippling, as a matter of fact, that it can be hard to get help.

When I first started suffering from anxiety attacks, I couldn’t even make it to my anxiety support group. I was becoming a shut it. Every time I would leave the house, something would trigger me. Sometimes, it would be a routine worry. I would think about whether I had left the stove on, for example. Soon, however, my idle worry would turn into panic. If I tried to goto anxiety support groups, I would worry about what people would think about me. I would get so nervous that I wouldn’t even be able to make it all the way there. Soon, I was only leaving the house when I absolutely had to.

Charitable Organizations

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Giving money and time makes the heart feel good, but there are some who take advantage. There are many great charities out there that do a lot of good with a little money, but some are mismanaged and some are just scams. Everyone who can give should do so, even if it is just a few dollars. No single person can save the world, of course, but each can contribute a little to a common cause and that is what makes the difference. Before giving large or small amounts to any charitable organizations, it is important to find out what they do with the money and if they have a good reputation.

How to Promote A Concert

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

No one ever learned how to become a concert promoter except through trial and error. This is especially true in underground music scene. I actually started out as a DJ. I made some good tunes, but no one ever listened to me. In retrospect, I was not extremely talented, but some of my stuff was quite danceable. When my friends told me one day “you need to learn how to promote your music, or you will never succeed.” I took his message to heart, and devoted myself to promotion. When I finally gave up music, realizing that I would never be very talented, I still had that promotion bug. I was always trying to bring local Djs into the scene. Finally, I got a big break.

Buy Bathroom Mirrors

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

One of the most important rooms in the home is the bath. This little area is so important that a well groomed bath can increase the value of a house. Little details mean a lot in this space. That’s why every purchase, including bathroom mirrors, is significant for this area.

Bathroom mirrors come in many shapes and forms. Classically, we have seen rectangular plain designs that hide the contents of the medicine cabinet. This well worn design is fine but you may want to consider adding a little more pizzazz to your bath. Today’s bathroom mirrors go far beyond their utilitarian function.

The History of Identity Theft

Monday, October 8th, 2007

Identity theft is thought of as a modern crime, happening mostly online, but it has been around since long before the internet was born. Criminals have long been using other people’s identities to commit crimes and steal money and are sure to continue. But when did it start, and how did it occur without the technology we have today?
There is no set date we can trace identity theft to but a hundred years ago if a criminal wanted to assume another person’s identity they didn’t steal their personal information and open credit cards, they killed that person and then pretended to be them. This was identity theft’s grizzly beginning and while it is not as violent anymore it can still ruin a person’s life.

Animal Posters

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

From animal kingdom posters in science classrooms to hang in there cat posters in offices, animal posters are big right now. It is pretty funny, because when I was growing up I remember animals posters as being almost exclusively reserved for kids. My little sister in particular used to love having animal pictures on her wall. She would go through phases. One month, she would be into horses and cover her entire bedroom with horse posters. A month later, she would switch over, and go crazy over bunnies. Whatever it was, it would always be fluffy and cute.

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

Most women, and some men, will tell you that a magnifying mirror is something that no household should do without. Though vanity is not on the minds of some people, most want to make sure they are presentable when they leave the house. When you gaze into an ordinary mirror in the light that is in your bathroom, you may think you look just fine.
